Unity Course 2018/19
Unity is a powerful cross-platform game engine used by professional game developers to create video games and simulations for computers, game consoles and mobile devices. Learn to create 3-D indoor and outdoor worlds, navigate them with C# script and get to grips with the RigidBody physics engine. Later, move on to making RPGs or vehicular simulations; then learn to port projects to mobiles, consoles and VR platforms.
You will be programming in C#, but all you need are solid programming skills in any programming language. Past attendance on at least four Python sessions at CoderDojo, or equivalent experience gained elsewhere, should be sufficient. The course is led by a Kingston University lecturer in Computer Games Programming.
The course will run monthly from 13 October 2018* until April 2019, on one Saturday afternoon from 2.00-4.30pm each month during term. The Course calendar will be circulated later to successful applicants.
The course is free but we need a commitment by students to attend the full programme. Places will not be bookable for individual sessions through Eventbrite. Application must be made online via the link above by a parent or guardian, but there are also some questions in the form to be completed by the student.
* Applications will be considered to join the course from 10th November.
